Timiza is a banking solution offered by Absa Bank Kenya that allows you to conveniently manage your finances using your smartphone. With Timiza, you can perform a wide range of banking activities including instant loans, funds transfers, bill payments, and insurance purchases. Additionally, Timiza offers a savings account called Zidisha that provides opportunities for saving and earning returns.

To get started with Timiza, you can:

• Open an account instantly
• Save and earn rewards with Timiza Savings
• Get instant loans on your phone
• Deposit funds into Timiza
• Purchase insurance
• Buy airtime
• Pay KPLC/ZUKU/DSTV/GOTV bills
• Pay bills via Till and pay bill accounts on Timiza
• Withdraw funds via all Absa ATMs

In order to open a Timiza account, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Be a registered Safaricom Subscriber
• Be a registered Safaricom M-PESA customer
• Have an active Safaricom M-PESA account/line
• Hold a Kenyan National Identification Document (ID). Please note that Kenyan passports are not accepted.

If you are interested in obtaining a Timiza loan, you must fulfill the following criteria:

• Be an M-PESA subscriber for more than 6 months
• Actively use other Safaricom services such as voice, data, and M-PESA
• Have a good rating at the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and with Safaricom on Okoa Jahazi

Features of the Timiza loan include:

• Your loan limit will be displayed when you log in to your Timiza account
• The loan attracts an interest charge of 1.083% and a facilitation fee of 5% for a term of 30 days
• The loan amount will be disbursed to your Timiza account and can be accessed by withdrawing to M-PESA
• To increase your loan limit, you can:

1. Engage in more activities on your Timiza Account, such as depositing cash, purchasing airtime, paying utility bills, and subscribing to insurance
2. Open and increase savings on your Zidisha savings account on Timiza
3. Utilize more M-PESA services
